Cold rolled coils are often used in the steel industry and differ from hot rolled coils. It refers to the steel strip which is directly rolled into a certain thickness by a roll and rolled into a whole roll by a winding machine at room temperature. Compared with hot rolled coil, the surface of cold rolled coil is bright and smooth, but it will produce more internal stress, which is often annealed after cold rolling.
Cold rolled steel is steel rolled at room temperature, below its re-crystallization temperature, making it easier to control the steel's shape, thickness, dimensions and surface finish.
